Hello, my name is Isabella McKean and I am excited to be one of the Chelan County Fair ambassadors this year. I am 17 years old and am attending Running Start at Wenatchee Valley College through Cascade High School. I have been coming to the fair for 7 years, and I have exhibited a variety of projects. You can find me usually in the goat barn with my dairy goats, or the poultry barn with my various birds. Additionally, I enjoy making crafts and presenting my demonstrations. In my spare time I take the goats on walks or hikes and read fantasy and sci-fi novels. My current plan is to transfer to a four-year university and study biomedical engineering, before applying to WSU’s veterinary medicine program. I hope to see everyone at the fair next year!
Hello, my name is Kadi Compton, daughter of Jason and DeAnn Compton. I am honored to serve as one of the 2020 Chelan County Fair Ambassadors. I have participated in the Chelan County Fair for as long as I can remember. Over the course of a typical year I easily show my pigs at 10 different shows. I got my start in the livestock industry by showing rabbits and chickens. From there I moved to swine because that was what my dad showed. Naturally, my parents got me as involved as possible and I loved it. The Agricultural industry has always been my passion which is why I plan to attend WSU. At this time, I am thinking of studying Agricultural Business with my focus in Agricultural Marketing. I hope to meet you at the Chelan County Fair next year and hear your story.
