Fair Ambassador Program

All candidates for the Chelan County Fair Ambassador program must be at least 16 years old or in their junior year of high school. They must be living in and attending school in Chelan County. One Ambassador will be selected to represent the Chelan County Fair. The Ambassador is responsible for representing the Chelan County Fair at speaking engagements before and during the Fair and participating in several festival parades. They will also participate in duties during the annual Fair event.

The Ambassador is awarded a scholarship to the college of their choice in the amount of $1,000. (See rule 11 for details.)

This application must be complete with the following:

• Cover Page
• Fair Involvement Page (100 points) (Answer below)
• An Essay on The Importance of the County Fair in America Today. Not exceeding 300 words.
• (100 Points) (Answer below)
• An official transcript (25pts)
• Three letters of recommendation (75 pts)
• Resume, including school and community involvement, future plans, etc. Along with a personal
• bio for publication. (100pts)
• In-person interview (top four finalists only). (100 points)

All application materials must be postmarked no later than October 30, 2026, to be considered.

The top four candidates will be interviewed by a selection committee. The Chelan County Fair Ambassador will be announced in December 2026.
